This recipe was written on the back of a yellow envelope by Grandma (Rose) Bova. There are no instructions with the ingredients. The envelope was found in November 2002 by mom, in her Pie Crust book.
Enclosed in the envelope where a handle full of other recipes written by my grandmother and Aunt Josephine. I’ve been trying to recreate my Grandmother’s pizza since the 90s to lackluster results. While it’s nice to know what she used, it’s been little help.

- 2 tablespoons lard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/4 envelope yeast
- 1 1/8 cup warm water
